they should be clearing away, but actually for many of us it is set to be another day of sunshine and showers. we are not all going to see them through the course of the day, so not a write off today. there will be some dry and some brighter intervals as well, but we have got this weather front that s just pushing its way in from the north west. that will bring some persistent rain across the north west of the uk, and ahead of that, in that north westerly airflow, yes, some scattered showers. so this morning we are seeing some rain across parts of eastern scotland, northern england, wales and the south west of england as well. tending to dry up a little bit and brighten up as well, but further east across england we see the bulk of the heavy and perhaps thundery showers, anywhere from the likes of yorkshire down towards kent during the course of the afternoon. also our weather front moving into northern ireland and western scotland, so clouding over here with some outbreaks of patchy r
going to see some late summer sunshine but some showers, particularly through the course of today. some of them could be heavy, potentially thundery in the east but we are expecting a slightly drier and brighter day tomorrow as this area of high pressure in the atlantic starts to topple in. today we have got a front approaching from the west and low pressure setting to the west and low pressure setting to the east of the uk, so heading through the day, heavy showers cropping up for parts of northern england, through the east midlands, down towards the south east. these could be heavy, bringing some bundles of thunder, lightning, some hail. but things looking a bit drier for parts of central and southern england into wales. a frontal system bringing cloud for the south west of england, northern ireland and western scotland, patchy cloud across this zone but for eastern scotland some sunshine, and temperatures between 1a and 22 out there today. we could catch a passing shower at reading
think the showers will be quite as heavy or certainly not quite as widespread as what we had yesterday. but again, eastern parts of the uk will see some of the heaviest of the thunderstorms and showers today, whereas further west, we ve got this weather front bringing light and patchy rain to northern ireland in between some good spells of sunshine. so for the rest of the day it will stay rather cloudy with outbreaks of rain across northern ireland, skies brightening up from the west, later. western scotland, western parts of britain seeing some sunshine. most of the heavy showers will be affecting eastern scotland and eastern parts of england. again some torrential downpours in a few places. and top temperatures 21 or 22 degrees here. high teens further north and west. so for the reading and leeds festival today, i think the better chance of staying dry will be across reading. for the leeds festival, i think you could pick up a few showers, which could be on the heavy side. same too f
