Dr. Raynaldo Ortiz Jr. allegedly complained to coworkers about past disciplinary action days before the patients suffered cardiac events during surgery.
Police arrested Dr. Raynaldo Ortiz Jr. on Wednesday. The anesthesiologist is was part of an ongoing criminal investigation following the death of a physician at Baylor Scott & White Surgicare North Dallas.
The Board previously punished Dr. Raynaldo Ortiz Jr. for a patient who required CPR under his care and failing to notify the board of misdemeanor charges for shooting his neighbor's dog.
Dr. Raynaldo Ortiz Jr. was caught on camera placing IV bags outside the operating rooms prior to those patients having heart attacks and other “cardiac complications.”
