ZAMBOANGA CITY - The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), through its different agencies, is bringing its services to Basilan province in the last week of September. In a statement Saturday, BARMM said the Office of the Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim, through its Project Tulong Alay sa Bangsamorong Nangangailangan (TABANG), will lead the upcoming event in Basilan. Tomanda Antok, TABANG project manager, said the project is a convergence activity of the various BARMM ministries, to bring all its government services to the people. "This initiative was conceptualized to make sure that the people are oriented towards what the government offers and, to an extent, save them the hassle of traveling to the BARMM Government Center in Cotabato City just to avail of the bureaucracy's services," he said in a statement. The assurance came after President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. led the mass oath-taking of the new BTA members at Malacanan Palace's Heroes Hall on Friday. The OP ensured that the identification of BTA appointees underwent a "careful and objective" selection process based on the criteria which include service record, qualification, and performance; contributions to the Bangsamoro peace process; geographical or sectoral representation; and acceptability or credibility to other stakeholders. The BTA, an interim government of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), is given both executive and legislative powers.
