A spokesperson for the Archdiocese of Baltimore says it's paying, at least in part, the fees of two attorneys representing people who are not accused of sexual abuse, but are named in a report from the Maryland Attorney General’s Office.
The Maryland Attorney General says Archdiocese of Baltimore leaders failed to report many allegations or remove abusers. One parish had 11 abusers in 40 years.
With the murder charges against him dropped, Adnan Syed may pursue a declaration of innocence that carries a potential $2.2 million payout from the state of Maryland.
