Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Auxiliary marks Health Care Auxilian Day

Thursday, May 6, 2021 - 6:19 pm OGDENSBURG Governor Andrew Cuomo proclaimed May 4, 2021 as Health Care Auxilian Day to recognize the dedicated auxilians who annually donate more than 500 million hours of service to health care facilities and communities. The Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Auxiliary is celebrating 70 years of support this year. The CHMC Auxiliary will hold their annual dinner later this fall to honor and celebrate the work and support auxilians provide throughout the year. The Auxiliary will also join the medical center with some celebrations to celebrate National Hospital Week. During the past year of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Auxiliary of Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center had to really think outside the box on fundraising for 2020 and that they did, said Colleen Anderson, publicity chair.
