Ada stepped down in late January, according to a news release.
“Thank you for the distinct honor to serve as chairman this past year, and I look forward to continuing to support the party and most especially, the people of Guam, in any way I can into the future,” Ada said.
Benitez has roots in Guam that date back nearly a century, when his father and mother made Guam their home during the days of the trust territory government. He is the president of Washington Pacific Economic Development Group and most recently served as national committeeman and executive director.
He is married to Ramona Cruz Jones from Agana Heights.
