Cong continues agitation against fuel price hike

JAMMU, Mar 16: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee continued protest against the unprecedented hike in prices of petrol, diesel and other essential commodities at New Plot here today.
The protest was organized by JKPCC general secretary Kanta Bhan and led by JKPCC vice president Raman Bhalla, Jammu Distt president Urban Yogesh Sawhney, JKPCC chief spokesman Ravinder Sharma, Rajnish Sharma JKPCC Treasure, Rajveer Singh and joined by senior leaders besides hundreds of party workers.
Holding placards in their hands, protesters raised slogans against BJP Govt demanding immediate rollback on hike in petrol and diesel prices. JAMMU, Feb 15: The Congress party today held a protest demonstration at Talab Tillo here against the Government for the continuing incessant hike in fuel prices all over India.
The protest was organized and led by Sanjeev Sharma, secretary PCC in-charge Block No. 4, and Corporator Ward No. 30, Sonika Sharma.
Prominent senior Congress leaders who participated in the protest were former minister Raman Bhalla (Vice president JKPCC), former minister Yogesh Sawhney, general secretary JKPCC & Incharge District president Jammu (U), Th Manmohan Singh, general secretary PCC, Rajnish Sharma, Co-Treasurer JKPCC, Rajvir Singh and Dr Ramakant Khajuria.
As soon as Vij’s tweet came into the public domain, it started receiving sharp questions from the Twitter user, who even asked him to remove the same.

Mir, Bhalla among scores of Cong activists arrested

JAMMU, Jan 15: Police today resorted to mild lathicharge and took scores of Congress leaders and workers led by JKPCC president GA Mir into custody after minor scuffle on Residency Road, when they were marching towards Raj Bhawan from Congress headquarters Saheedi Chowk, Jammu.
The PCC chief, Ghulam Ahmad Mir and others senior leaders broke the police barricades and the enthusiastic Congress workers broke the Police cordon at several places enroute and forced their march ahead. However, they were not allowed to move and then packed in vehicles and took them to DPL, Gandhi Nagar.
