Earlier, BJP leaders from Alot tehsil had lodged a complaint with the collector claiming that the entire 10-acre colony on the ginning factory is illegal and had demanded an investigation into the matter.
Ranchi: The Left parties on Wednesday criticised the violence during the farmers’ rally in New Delhi on Republic Day and demanded a high-level inquiry to track the culprits behind the incident.
While addressing a dharna in front of the Raj Bhavan in support of the farmers’ demand, CPI state secretary Bhuwaneshwar Prasad Mehta condemned the unfurling of a flag by a group of people on the Red Fort. He, however, alleged that it was a conspiracy to incite violence in the rally and defame the agitating farmers.
He said, “The BJP-led government is trying to bring bad name to the farmers’ movement from the beginning. Over a period of time it has tried to portray that separatists and foreign players have infiltrated the agitation. Any plan to blame the movement would not succeed.”
