The water level of Yamuna River in Delhi has dropped below the danger mark, bringing relief to the affected areas. Some water treatment plants have been restarted, allowing supply to resume in central Delhi. However, some areas still remain waterlogged and traffic is affected in certain parts of the city. “Water to treatment plant goes from the Wazirabad pond. Now that there is flooding, we have had to shut all three. The plants functioned till 8 am but after that, it was impossible to keep them open,” said DJB vice-chairperson Somnath Bharti.
