New report finds US history textbooks widely neglect Latino events, contributions

The analysis by Johns Hopkins and nonprofit UnidosUS evaluated high school U.S. history textbooks to evaluate how Latinos were depicted and the extent of coverage of significant Latino events. It and found 87% of key topics and events were either not covered or mentioned very briefly.
