good morning. all of the nearly 3,500 people on board the norwegian dawn are okay this morning. passengers describe a very chaotic scene when their vacation screeched to a halt. we were having dinner and there was 10 to 15 seconds of shuttering and you could feel that the ship stopped. that was rachel hanson who was on board the ship with her family when it ran aground around 5:00. she says the ship s captain issued a distress call sending the staff running for the exits. we went to the top of the ship to see if we could see had stopped on. they told us it was a coral reef. officials say the dawn lost power and suffered temporary steering malfunction when it steered off course and slammed into the reef. it took seven hours and the help of a high tide to free the boat
