Residents in the Montreal and Laval regions are being warned about fraudulent text messages appearing to come from Concession A25, the company that manages the Olivier-Charbonneau bridge.
The story is similar for nearly every merchant in Vaudreuil-Dorion and other communities west of the island, whose customer base includes a significant chunk of people who drive from Montreal: business is bad, and the uncertainty looking ahead is worrisome.
Drivers hoping to get on or off the western tip of the Island of Montreal will have to avoid the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge again this weekend as it will be completely closed.
