Nissan is investing over $1.3 billion to upgrade its factory in Sunderland, England, to produce electric versions of its Qashqai and Juke crossover vehicles. The investment will enable wider investment in infrastructure projects and the supply chain, including a new gigafactory. Nissan has announced that its Sunderand facility in the UK is going all electric and three new EVs will be produced from this plant. The three EVs that will be made at this plant include the Juke crossovers, Qashqai and the nxt-gen Leaf. These EVs will be manufactured using the ‘EV36Zero’ microgrid.
