Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday paid rich tributes to late former Prime Minister PV Narsimha Rao on his 100th birth anniversary, saying the country remembers his extensive contributions to national development.
“Tributes to former PM Shri PV Narasimha Rao ji on his 100th birth anniversary. India remembers his extensive contributions to national development. He was blessed with remarkable knowledge and intellect,” Modi tweeted. He also shared a clip of his radio broadcast, Mann Ki Baat, of last year in which he had paid fond tributes to Rao. He had mentioned the late leader’s knowledge of various languages and fondness for literature and had urged people to read about contributions he had made to the country.
