BMRCL) said, clearing the doubt that the project was cancelled. Officials said the company which bagged the Rs 1,600 crore tender to supply 216 coaches is currently finalising the design of its upcoming manufacturing plant at Sri City in Andhra Pradesh.
“We will start getting supply in the second half of 2022. We had placed orders for 216 coaches. The first 24 coaches will come from
China. The remaining 192 coaches will be manufactured in India. The supplies will go on till 2023,” a senior BMRCL official told Bangalore Mirror.
