Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, or KCR as he is known, has taken away the portfolio of the state s Health Minister after allegations of land grab emerged against the latter. Eatala Rajender s portfolio of Medical, Health and Family Welfare has been transferred to the Chief Minister after the Governor approved Mr Rao s request.
Ordering a probe into allegations of land grab in Medak district, Mr Rao instructed the Chief Secretary to get an investigation done by the district collector on the complaints of encroachments of land on the outskirts of Achampet in Masaipet Mandal in Medak, get a comprehensive report and submit it to him.

Hyderabad, May 1 : Supporters of Telangana s minister Eatala Rajender staged a protest here on Saturday to show solidarity with him on a day when a probe began into land grabbing allegations against him.
The minister s supporters staged a sit-in on the highway at Shameerpet on the outskirts of Hyderabad, condemning the allegations made against him.
Raising slogans in support of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader, they sat on the road, leading to traffic jam. They claimed that the allegations of land grabbing against Rajender are false and part of a conspiracy against him.

Hyderabad, May 1 : Vigilance and Enforcement officials in Telangana on Saturday began probe into allegations against Health Minister Eatala Rajender that he encroached the lands of farmers in Medak district.
A day after Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao ordered the probe, the investigating officials descended on Achampet and Hakimpet villages to survey the land of Jamuna Hatcheries belonging to the minister and surrounding assigned lands of farmers.
They formed teams to conduct digital survey of the lands, gather details from the victims and to check the land records.

Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan approved the transfer of the portfolio from Rajender to the Chief Minister.

In a major development, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has taken the Medical, Health and Family Welfare portfolio from Eatala Rajender after allegations that the latter grabbed lands of farmers in Medak district.
The Chief Minister will keep the portfolio with him. Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan approved the transfer of the portfolio from Rajender to the Chief Minister. On the advice of the Chief Minister of Telangana, the Governor has approved the transfer of the Medical, Health & Family Welfare portfolio from Eatala Rajender to the Chief Minister with immediate effect, said a press communique from Raj Bhavan on Saturday.
