Puducherry: The All India N Rangaswamy Congress (AINRC), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) have sealed a pre-poll alliance for the 30-seat Puducherry Legislative Assembly Election due on April 6.
While the AINRC will contest on 16 seats, the BJP and AIADMK will fight on the rest 14. The break-up of 14 seats to be allocated between the BJP and the AIADMK was not available yet.

New Delhi: The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is likely to form the government in Puducherry by grabbing 18 of the total 30 seats in the upcoming Assembly Elections due to take place on April 6, the
Times Now-C-Voter opinion poll has projected.
As per the projections, the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) may win anywhere between 16 to 20 seats in the Assembly Elections. The counting of votes will take place on May 2.
In the 2016 Assembly Elections, the NDA had won 12 seats.
Meanwhile, the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) is projected to bag around 12 seats. As per the poll, the alliance could win anywhere between 10 to 14 seats.

The Kerala state assembly elections in 14 districts consisting of 140 assembly constituencies will be held in a single phase. In 2016 as well, Kerala Assembly elections were conducted on a single day on May 16. The tenure of the Kerala legislative assembly will come to an end on June 1, 2021. The polling will take place abiding by strict Covid-19 protocols.
