Road crashes kill 9 in Yobe

Three persons died in the accident while three others sustained injuries. The second crash, which involved a Toyota bus with vehicle number KJA 12 XA, occurred on Wednesday at Garin Alhaji along Potiskum-Kukuri route. Six persons lost their lives and 13 others sustained various degrees of injuries in the crash. The Federal Road Safety Corps, Yobe State Command, confirmed both accidents on Wednesday. Hussaini Haruna, the command’s Public Enlightenment Officer, blamed the two accidents on tyre burst occasioned by over speeding and overloading. He said the deceased and the injured had been evacuated to Potiskum General Hospital. He urged motorists to drive within the speed limit.

The stakeholders, who spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) urged that the protocols be relaxed to enable them obtain the documents with ease. x In Jos, a motorist, Godwin Adewale, complained about the cumbersome and long procedures involved in obtaining a new number plate. Adewale, therefore, urged all the relevant agencies in charge of the exercise to make the process less cumbersome “to enable us to invest our time in other human endeavours”.

Auto crash claims two lives in Osun - Daily Post Nigeria

Daily Post Nigeria Published The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Osun State, on Tuesday said two people were killed in a motor accident that occurred on Ile-Ife-Gbogan highway. The Sector Commander, Mrs Kudirat Ibrahim, disclosed this on Tuesday in Osogbo, in a statement signed by the Public Enlightenment Officer, Mrs Agnes Ogungbemi. Ibrahim noted that the accident occurred due to a collision between two vehicles, which involved 23 people at about 3:00 a.m, with only two people injured while two others lost their lives. “A Toyota Camry, with registration number FKJ746DU, collided with a white Hiace bus with registration number FKJ634XW on Ife -Gbogan highway today at about 3:00 a.m.
