In February 2018, actor Evan Rachel Wood testified before a House judiciary subcommittee on her experiences as a survivor of rape and domestic violence. She spoke as part of an effort to get the Sexual Assault Survivors’ Bill of Rights Act implemented in all 50 states.
On Monday, Wood publicly accused for the first time musician Marilyn Manson of physical and psychological abuse during their on-and-off relationship in the mid-to-late 2000s. She said he groomed her when she was a teenager and “horrifically” abused her for several years. Manson has not publicly addressed the allegations.
