President Cyril Ramaphosa has ordered the country’s security forces to ensure there is no anarchy, intimidation and lawlessness during the EFF's national shutdown on Monday.
City of Ekurhuleni spokesperson Zweli Dlamini confirmed to City Press that the union did apply for a peaceful demonstration on January 20 and was scheduled to take place at Makro Carnival, Brakpan, from January 27 to the February 7.
