Buffalo Events, LLC will be offering a sheep festival in June at Prosinski Park in Buffalo.
Anke Kottman and Janny Breton came before the Buffalo City Council this week to request the use of the park, street closures during the day, a designated open container area in the park, and a noise variance for the event.
Kottman gave more information on the
event.

The requests include the use of Prosinski Park on June 5
th from 10am to 7pm; a street closures on Fetterman from Burritt to Western from 6am to 7pm, and Main Street from Angus to Fetterman from 11:15am to 11:45am; a designated open container area in the park from noon to 7pm; and a noise variance from 10am to 6pm.
The Johnson County Ski-Jor Wars is scheduled for downtown Buffalo on February 27
th, but one of the main requirements for the event is snow… and quite a bit of it.
The event involves skiers being pulled by riders on horseback and is planned for the Prosinski Park area east along Fetterman Street to Western Avenue heading south towards Angus, as explained by event organizer Kyle Todd…
The City of Buffalo will be recycling Christmas Trees again this year, according to city officials.
Residents, after they have enjoyed their tree for the holiday season, can take their trees to Prosinski Park in Buffalo where they will be recycled.
As long as residents clean their trees properly.
Mayor Shane Schrader said trees need to be real, not artificial, and free of all non-organic materials such as lights, tinsel, and any other decorations so they can be recycled.
Cleaned trees can be chipped and reused as organic mulch, but any trees containing non-organic materials must be burned, which is a waste of the tree, according to the mayor.
