Ireland s return to normality continues this week with a key date in the summer reopening plan.
IT’S the great reopening following one of Europe’s toughest Covid-19 lockdowns.
Virus restrictions in Ireland are finally easing from today with social visits and intercounty travel getting the green light.

The phased reopening of non-essential retail begins - and you can finally get your lockdown locks chopped at the hairdressers by appointment.
But while takeawy pints are being served all over the country, we still have to wait for the much-anticipated pint down the local with the return of indoor hospitality not being considered until the end of June.

In-person religious services can also resume, with a limit of 50 people. However, Communions and Confirmations won t be included.
Up to 50 mourners are allowed to attend funeral services and 50 guests are allowed to attend wedding services.
Weddings
For celebrations or receptions after weddings and funerals, a maximum of six people will be allowed to attend indoors.
Up to 15 people will be allowed to attend if the events occur outdoors.
Public transport
