The Program in Visual Arts invites all sophomores interested in the visual arts minor and the Art & Archaeology major in the Practice of Art track to an info session. Students will have the opportunity to meet current faculty, majors, and students to ask questions about the program and application process.
Caitlyn Min-ji Au, an artist working between sculpture, video, and food, will discuss her work as a visiting guest artist in the new Haptic Lab course in the Program in Visual Arts taught by Joe Scanlan. Open to University community.
Italian filmmaker and actor Daphne Di Cinto (Bridgerton) screens her film, Il Moro (The Moor), which delves into the extraordinary life of the first Duke of Florence in 1530, Alessandro de’ Medici, the first black man to ascend to the position of head of state in modern Western Europe. Screened in Italian with English closed captions. Audience Q&A follows with Di Cinto.
