The vice-chancellor, in a statement by the institution Public Relations Officer (PRO), Akeem Salami, described Adeaga’s emergence as a mark of his commitment to the progress of the council as well as to the development of Ibadanland. According to him, the peaceful manner in which the election of the new executives was conducted also shows that it values an enlightened democratic process.

NUC approves forensic science, 13 other courses for Tech-U varsity

Share THE National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved the running of Forensic Science and 13 other environmental/engineering courses at the First Technical University (Tech-U), Ibadan, the Oyo State capital. Based on the approval, the institution has become the first university to offer the course in Nigeria after the Nigerian Police Academy. The approval was contained in a letter from the NUC dated February 10, 2021, based on a recent verification exercise the commission conducted at the university. According to a statement issued by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Akeem Lasisi, the other 13 newly approved courses include Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial and Production Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Science Laboratory Technology and Quantity Surveying.
