In a major development, the Afghan Taliban have warned their neighbors against allowing the United States military to operate bases on their soil.
“We urge neighboring countries not to allow anyone to do so,” the Taliban said in a statement.

ISLAMABAD – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned Pakistan People’s Party senior leader Qamar Zaman Kaira today for recording his statement in an ongoing investigation against former Managing Director (MD) Pakistan Television Corporation (PTVC) Yousuf Baig Mirza regarding illegal use of expenditures and misappropriation in government funds. Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to take a vote of confidence from the parliament after his finance minister, Hafeez Shaikh, lost the Senate election to the opposition’s candidate, former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani.
The development is significant as it opens many avenues for the opposition when it comes to weakening the government further.
