MOGADISHU, May 20 (Xinhua) Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Roble has expressed optimism about the new round of consultative talks due to begin in Mogadishu Thursday to help break the current political stalemate on the delayed elections. As we are fully prepared for the National consultative conference on elections, I am optimistic that it commences smoothly and ends satisfactorily so that the country goes to transparent, free and fair elections, Roble said ahead of the meeting between the government and five leaders of the federal member states. All arrangements have been finalized to ensure a successful outcome.

MOGADISHU, May 15 (Xinhua) Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Roble on Saturday urged the youth to take part in the reconstruction and democratization of the country.
In a statement issued in Mogadishu to mark the 78th anniversary of the Somali Youth Day, Roble called on the youth to build on the legacy of the Somali Youth League (SYL) that spearheaded the struggle for a united and independent Somalia in the 1940s and 1950s.
He said 78 years ago, 13 young Somalis founded the SYL, which played a key role in the country s road to liberation, noting that the youth have innovative thinking which can contribute clear vision that can change Somalia, just like the SYL heroes.

MOGADISHU, May 10 (Xinhua) Somali President Mohamed Farmajo and Prime Minister Mohamed Roble have condemned Sunday evening s suicide bomb attack in the restive capital, Mogadishu, that left at least six people dead and six others injured.
In separate statements, Farmajo and Roble sent their condolences to the families of those who lost their lives, including two senior police officers, and wished quick recovery for those injured. President Farmajo sends his profound condolences to families and all Somali people for the loss of police officers and civilians who were killed in Sunday s cowardly terrorist blast in Mogadishu, the president said in a statement.
