Originality permeates Glyph, a new video game from Bolverk Games, which launched Monday on Nintendo’s eShop in the USA and the Americas. The Switch game is in a genre that sees many new arrivals, with only a few who manage to bring something original to the screen.
A great way to start the year, Glyph deserves a place in everyone’s Switch library. Girl Gamers UK (9/10)
NEW MECHANICS I have never been so excited about a game launch before. The platforming genre rarely sees new mechanics that add to the gameplay,” says the Bolverk Games CEO, Bo Bennekov.
About the game
Glyph is a colorful and atmospheric 3D platformer game.
You play as a sphere-shaped mechanical scarab, named Glyph, from a third-person perspective. The player has to practice precision, speed, and ingenuity to collect relics and artifacts while exploring a series of highly varied, charming, and treacherous levels.
The end goal is to complete all the levels and restore the ancient temple city residing in the desert, which also functions as the game´s non-linear hub world.
Glyph appeals to both chill-out players and speedrunners as the open world allows for creative ways to move through the 80+ levels available with the release.

Skip the tutorial via the main menu if you don’t feel like playing it again. Skipping the tutorial will give you all of the collectibles that the tutorial levels contain, allowing you to progress as if you collected everything up until that point.
Bolverk Games
We are a self-supporting indie studio focused on VR games and software. However, this past year, we worked on Glyph, a 3D platformer for the Nintendo Switch console (out now). We make the games we want to play ourselves - beautiful, challenging, and immersive. Bolverk was among the first to realize how VR gaming could be more than a novelty, and we are still at the forefront of a growing market, always exploring VR’s potential.
