Nigeria's anti-corruption agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced the auction of assets and landed properties forfeited to the federal government. In a public notice, titled "disposal of assets - landed properties" which was published on Saturday, EFCC listed the properties to be disposed. According to the agency, the bid for the properties will close by 12noon on Monday, 9th of January, 2023. "The general public is notified that the EFCC will conduct the sales of assets (landed properties) listed in the attached images.”
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has said that following the success of the commission’s recent public auction of over 649 vehicles, it will soon commence the process of the sale of forfeited properties comprising 160 flats and apartments in 16 locations across the country. The EFCC Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, made the disclosure on Thursday while giving an account of the commission’s activities at the 62nd session of the State House Media Briefing organised by the Presidential Communications Team at Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.
