DRI officials intercepted Zakia Wardak, the consul general of Afghanistan, at Mumbai airport for attempting to smuggle gold worth Rs 18.6 crore from Dubai. Wardak, possessing a diplomatic passport, had 25kg of gold bars hidden in her customised clothing.
