President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Monday instructed the formation of a committee to assess the transfer of tombs in the area of Sayyidah Nafisa and Imam al-Shafi’i, as well as the establishment of the “Cemetery of the Immortals” to honor the remains of great Egyptians.
The eighth Saudi relief plane arrived on Monday at Port Sudan International Airport, carrying 30 tons of food baskets and medical supplies, the Saudi Press Agency reported. The aid is part of the Saudi relief airlift that is being operated by the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action to help the Sudanese people, in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, SPA said.
The Muslim World League (MWL) hailed on Monday the announcement by Saudi Arabia and the United States about the humanitarian arrangements and short-term ceasefire agreement signed by the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces in Jeddah. MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa said the agreement marks important progress in the course of talks between the warring parties.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said stressed on Sunday their determination to boost bilateral ties and reinforce cooperation in various fields. Sisi received on Sunday Sultan Haitham at the al-Ittihadiya Presidential Palace in Cairo where a formal reception was held in his honor. Spokesman for the Presidency Ahmed Fahmy stated that Sisi welcomed the royal as an honored guest of Egypt, wishing him success in continuing the comprehensive development path and achieving Vision Oman 2040.
The President said Egypt looked forward to developing relations between the two countries to a sustainable framework of economic integration and strategic cooperation and Egypt supports all ongoing efforts to pursue Tunisia's development and reform, Fahmy added.
