On Thursday 28 January Nicola Sturgeon announced that further lockdown measures for Scotland will be set out within days and confirmed that the restrictions will include tougher travel rules and improvements to the test and protect system.

A charity says it is being forced to reopen its hardship fund for sex workers during the latest Covid-19 lockdown, as it claimed Scottish Government cash has failed to reach those hardest hit by the pandemic.
Umbrella Lane will relaunch the fund on Saturday to ensure sex workers and their families have “some financial support in these challenging times”.

Sex workers claim the Scottish Government is “condemning us to poverty” as a result of a lack of support during the coronavirus pandemic.
One anonymous sex worker hit out and said the stance of ministers was “nothing short of inhumane” throughout the crisis.
Poppadoms made easy
My boyfriend came back from the Indian supermarket with poppadoms (the uncooked kind), but we had run out of oil to cook them in. I discovered that you can put these in the microwave for just over a minute and they cook and expand. Itâs healthier and saves wasting so much oil. Iâm Indian and never knew this. Mind blown!

No-cook puds
For a quick, easy and delicious chocolate pudding, get two ripe persimmons and wash them. Leaving the skin on, whizz in a blender with two tablespoons of dark, bitter cocoa powder, then put the mixture into a glass bowl and leave in the fridge for at least two hours. Itâs best eaten the next day. If you like it less sweet, add more cocoa powder.
