The Potter College of Arts and Letters Department of History recently added a new professor of Jewish Studies, Timothy Quevillon. The history department obtained a grant in 2022 to hire a visiting Jewish Studies professor. The position is funded by the Jewish Heritage Fund for Excellence, a Louisville-based organization, Quevellion said. Quevillon filled the position.
Musical duo Larry Bellorín and Joe Troop showcased their fusion of Venezuelan and Appalachian folk music on Thursday evening through the Potter College of Arts and Letters Cultural Enhancement Series. The two played a variety of instruments ranging from harp, banjo, fiddle, cuatro, maracas, guitar and the double bass. Bellorín spoke primarily in a Venezuelan.

The Potter College of Arts and Letters welcomed students back to campus with a Kona Ice event at Cherry Hall today. Today marked the first day of class for new and returning WKU students. With temperatures reaching ninety degrees, students joined PCAL for a chance to be one of the first 300 students to receive.
