Focus of the upcoming retreat would be on challenges that we are facing both the department and the commission. So that what we sort of envisioned and would recommend for your consideration would be a twopart discussion. One that focused on challenges or opportunities before the commission, and ways in which before the department, i am sorry, and ways in which, the members of the commission or the commission as a whole could help the Department Address those challenges. This is an example of working with the board of supervisor and how we can get more members of the commission to go to the board or to individuals supervisors, and when there were matters of concern to the department before and to me, that is kind of technical but those were, that was one topic that we thought would be a useful discussion. The Strategic Plan actually is a better example and that is one that we discussed in that category and the other part of the retreat, we felt could be well spent deciding how we might

The elements, the Baseline Services, the commercial district assessment and Customized Services and do some q a. So essentially the mission of this program is our neighborhood commercial districts will thrive and its born out of the mayors commitment to Economic Development as a central platform of his administration. At the end of 2011, after he was elected to a full term, he directed our office to greatly expand the scope of our neighborhood Economic Development work. So we have been doing neighborhood Economic Development for years at oewdss Economic Development division and invest in neighborhoods represents an expansion in that work. I will tell you how

When i tell people of my involvement their shock to hear that San Francisco is in major definition of Human Trafficking. They think it is people from other parts of the world. There are also so many right here, from our own bay area communities. In the city that is out of Human Trafficking we are also committed to being an agent of change. I want to give you a brief history of sf cat, San Francisco collaborative against Human Trafficking. In response to what we saw is a growing problem, four organizations formed up in 2008, the Jewish Coalition against Human Trafficking; National Council of jewish women, jewish reel fund, we then realize would needed a wider coalition in order to be more effective
