Pro-Israel activists have launched a petition drive to defund a taxpayer-financed legal aid group Bronx Defenders after the union representing its lawyers drafted a pro-Palestinian statement that accused the Jewish State of being "genocidal" and supporting "ethnic cleansing" while not mentioning Hamas' attack of the Jewish state on Oct. 7 that slaughtered 1,400 people.
More than 200 faculty members at Columbia University said Tuesday they were "appalled by the spate of antisemitic incidents" on the Manhattan campus, signing a new letter stating: "We are horrified that anyone would celebrate these monstrous attacks or, as some members of the Columbia faculty have done in a recent letter, try to 'recontextualize' them as a 'salvo,' as the 'exercise of a right to resist' occupation,."
The US House of Representatives is prepared to pass a separate aid package for the war-torn nation of Israel this week, Republican and Democratic members and staff told The Post, with another aid package for Ukraine to follow.
