+ April 14, 2021 CLARK FREEPORT The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) made a record-high contribution to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in the first five years of the Duterte administration.
BCDA contributed P17.8 billion from 2016 to 2021 to the AFP, higher than the P13 billion turned over by the previous administration in six years.
“The goal of BCDA is to breach or exceed the contribution to the AFP by previous administration as we still have around one year left of the Duterte administration,” said Vince Dizon, BCDA president and chief executive officer, adding that this reflects the commitment and support of the Duterte administration to upgrade and modernize the capabilities of

In a statement, BCDA President and Chief Executive Officer Vince Dizon, said the agency contributed P17.8 billion from 2016 to 2021 to the AFP, higher than the P13 billion turned over by the previous administration in six years.
“The goal of the BCDA is to breach or exceed the contribution to the AFP by previous administrations as we will have around one year left of the Duterte administration,” Dizon said.
He stressed that BCDA remains steadfast not only in its support for the military, but for all Filipinos reeling from the impact of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
“These challenging times should not deter us from delivering our commitment of strengthening the Armed Forces while building great cities. We will intensify our development projects with the private sector to help in the recovery of our economy and provide more job opportunities for our countrymen,” Dizon added.
