In the end, though, the favorite after-school play spot was the middle of the street on our block of 18th Avenue.

Photo provided by the DIA Advertisement ROCHESTER/ROCHESTER HILLS/OAKLAND TOWNSHIP The Detroit Institute of Arts’ 2021 Inside|Out program will once again bring art to the Rochester area this summer. Amanda Harrison, the DIA’s community engagement manager for Oakland County, said the art museum launched the project in 2010. “This is a wonderful project that was inspired from our director at the time, who took a trip to Europe and noticed these works of art from the museums there out in the community. It’s an unexpected way to experience these masterpieces from a world-class museum in your own space,” she said.
