An alert sent at 5:15 p.m. by Virginia Commonwealth University says a shooting happened at Monroe Park on campus, which is located just outside the Altria Theater.
According to reports, a woman was kicked out of Swagger nightclub only to return with a weapon which she later fired, striking a female bystander in the chest.
After an altercation with a customer on Saturday night in Keene, a restaurant employee was fatally shot, resulting to the arrest of a 12-year-old and a 20-year-old who are both being held on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident.
Louie Welch Middle School was placed on lockdown "s a precautionary measure while police investigated suspicious activity in the area," a statement from the district read.
