Pelley the swimmers story just didnt hold water. Today, police in brazil said u. S. Olympic star ryan lochte and three of his teammates made up the story about being robbed at gunpoint in rio last weekend. So what did happen . Well, lets go to the video replay. Heres ben tracy. Reporter this Security Camera footage shows the four american swimmers at a gas station disappearing down a hallway toward the bathroom. They get back in their taxi but are stopped by a Security Guard. You can see the swimmers raising their arms and then sitting on the ground. Today, rio police filled in the blanks, accusing the americans of vandalizing the bathroom, arguing with the Security Guard, and then leaving 50 to pay for the damage.
