California man charged with murder in shooting at truck stop off I-78, cops say

David Rodriguez, 44, of Rialto, California was arrested and charged with murder, following an argument with Ricardo De Castro, 43, of Deerfield Beach, Florida outside in the Pilot truck stop parking lot, the State Police announced Sunday evening.
During the altercation, Rodriguez allegedly shot De Castro with a .40 caliber handgun, police said.
Rodriguez was also charged with firearm possession charges and was taken to the Warren County Jail, pending a detention hearing.
Rodriguez surrendered to troopers at scene and was arrested without incident, police said. The handgun was recovered by responding troopers.

Authorities in New Hampshire and Mississippi are seeking public assistance in solving an investigation into a cold case that was opened in 2000.
According to New Hampshire law enforcement, on May 9, 2000, the remains of two juvenile females were discovered in a 55-gallon drum in a wooded area of New Hampshire. The remains were badly decomposed and are related to an adult female and juvenile female, found within a 55-gallon drum in a nearby wooded area in 1985. The cause of death for all four females was ruled a homicide.
