Russian plane accidentally lands over frozen river. A Soviet-era Antonov-24 with 30 passengers on board landed over a frozen river near an airport in Russia's far east on Thursday. The Polar Airlines plane landed safely on the Kolyma River near Ziryanka in the Yakutia region. The cause of the accident was a mistake on the part of the crew in driving the plane, according to prosecutors in transport accidents in the country. There were no casualties, Polar Airlines said in a short statement.
