should we not at some point say, here is the wherewithal you need to help defend your land? well, candy, i think the fact is that the geography, the balance of power is such that there is no military solution to this crisis. it has to be solved through diplomacy. that s something that the prime minister himself says. the government has asked us for non-lethal military assistance. and as you noted, secretary hagel, the pentagon had additional announcements last week in terms of additional assistance we are providing, nonlethal assistance. but the fact is, militarily as crimea demonstrated, ukraine is outgunned. and so, our efforts have been focused on diplomacy. up next, the president opens his push for 2014 democrats.
that was made clear among others at the time. and it was taking months in an environment in which we were prepared to take months. so we ll just keep going. so are you prepared to take months in so far as the aerial and the surface water search is concerned. is there at some point you re going to look and say, look, we don t the ships and the planes, at least the ships that are not attached to underwater devices. the search for debris is over here. it s so scattered that we can t be of use. welm, obviously you might well choose to scale it down. but i don t think you can ever quite say that. we lost a cruiser back in world war ii. it s begun to feature in some of your stories. then it was a battle. massive amounts of debris you d expect to see on the surface. all of it gone. three months later. a shrapnel with the corpse of an australian sailor shows up.
around our body and taped around our waist with adhesive tape and keep the heat in. the same thing with our feet. we would put on a pair of stockings, cotton, then put a plastic bag over that, and then another pair of socks over that to try to keep warm. it was difficult to heat your hands and your feet warm because officials had to run on the field, and it was tough for them. but the players had a tough time, too. coach lombardi had put a blanket there, an electric blanket, but it didn t work, and the field was frozen. i could hear you go on and on, all the details with the refs. i imagine they were trying to use hand signals because clearly the whistles weren t working. i don t know if grown men were crying that freezing, freezing cold day, but did anyone at any point say, you know, let s call it? there were a conversation about that. not from the officials, but from security, thinking that maybe we should postpone it to another time, and everybody said, nah,
families and children. go on there and check it out and you re going to like what you find. and that s what s happening. they are finding that they can get affordable health coverage for the first time in their lives. and i ll guarantee you about a year from now, they re going to look back at these critics, including a lot of the senators and representatives, and they re going to say, you misled us. so he laid out the scenario. let s say that that the effort to fire kathleen sebelius is successful and she is fired. but obama care is still there and it will be there. so will kept cans at some point say, wow, this is working in kept ken. maybe we should examine what s happening here and fix what s wrong with the other health care exchanges across the country. let s look at another state that obama care was modeled after like tennessee. a monumental failure. i think it lasted about 12 years
right right now who are going to say i don t believe in evolution in any form. they are not willing to say there is climate change. it might hurt a mining company. they don t face the facts. that s the problem. i m beginning to think they are quite willing to not face this looming reality. if the united states becomes a deadbeat that s what we are. chris, you have had tea party members of congress on this very show who have said i don t think the default will be that bad and we can pay the bills in a retire order. really, they are the only people who believe that. they are no nothings and the bottom line here is at some point in this terrible game we are stuck in, will john boehner or peter king and moderate republicans, hard to call them moderate these days, will they at some point say, no, you don t
