India's top IT service companies Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys and Wipro will declare their respective third-quarter numbers for the financial year 2021-22 (FY22) on Wednesday. Adding more twists, Amazon has filed fresh legal challenges in its long-running dispute with Future after the antitrust agency Competition Commission of India (CCI) suspended a 2019 deal between the two sides, news agency Reuters reported citing sources. According to the report, Amazon has filed an appeal against the CCI suspension decision at the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT). Separately, the U.S. retail major has also filed a challenge in the Supreme Court against the Delhi High Court decision, which stated that the arbitration proceedings must remain on hold until February 1 in light of the antitrust suspension of the deal.
Telecom operator Vodafone Idea on Tuesday said that the government will own around 35.8 per cent of the country's third-largest wireless phone operator after its board approved the conversion of dues into equity. Voda Idea's board approved the conversion of the full amount of interest related to spectrum auction instalments and dues owed to the government for use of the airwaves into equity.
