LAURENTIAN VALLEY – The township recently honoured a staff member and four volunteers for their service to the municipality.
During the Dec. 15 virtual meeting of Laurentian Valley council, Mayor Steve Bennett recognized Colleen Smith, accounts payable/payroll clerk, with a municipal employee service award for 15 years with the township. He thanked her for her dedication on behalf of all members of council.

Receiving volunteer service awards for milestone years were Benita Richardson, 15 years with Pleasant View Park Recreation Committee; Lisa Campitelli, 20 years with the Stafford Park Recreation Committee; Deborah Lariviere, 20 years with the Shady Nook Recreation Committee and Tim Sutcliffe, 35 years with the Stafford Park Recreation Committee.
