construction of a new junior high school,
expand and renovate parts of Central and North high schools and fund upgrades to other existing buildings and athletic facilities.
District officials said it would cost property owners about $101.52 annually for every $100,000 in valuation. It is expected to generate $95 million over 38 years.
If the bond issue passes, the new junior high school would be built on Lockville Road, south of Opportunity Way, adjacent to the Pickerington High School Central campus
. The district s two existing junior high schools, Lakeview and Ridgeview, are currently full, said Gayle Saunders, chair of the campaign.
Ridgeview would be reconfigured to house elementary, middle school and Gateway Academy students, according to the district. The current Heritage Elementary also would be reworked into a special needs preschool.
