Star Wars Symposium is coming! Calling all Star Wars fans!! Join the Berkshire Athenaeum, Pittsfield s Public Library, for a virtual Star Wars day celebration!

On Saturday, May 8, 2021, at 10 am, join a Zoom call with super-fan Peter Struzziero. Come dressed as your favorite Star Wars character, learn about the history of Star Wars, test your Star Wars knowledge in the trivia and character ID games, explore the traveling Star Wars museum, watch Star Wars pop culture videos, and more. For all ages 5 and up, families welcome!

It s a month of fun, crafts, and learning, the Berkshire Athenaeum has some wonderful craft kits for Kids, Thanks also to Friends of the library
Children s Story and Craft Kit, Bi-monthly craft kits, and storytime videos from the Berkshire Athenaeum, Pittsfield s Public Library. A new craft kit every other week! Kits include craft supplies as well as a link to a storytime and craft video. Best suited for ages 2 - 8.

Teen Craft Kits Friends of the Berkshire Athenaeum
The new employees include: Alicia Hyman, Outreach Librarian; Sara Russell-Scholl, Children s and Youth Services Supervisor; Kisha Sawyers, Technology Engagement Librarian; and Autumn Mawhinney, Technical Services Supervisor. We are pleased to welcome these talented professionals to lead our service initiatives in the coming months and beyond, said Athenaeum Director Alex Reczkowski. Hyman comes to the library from New York City, where she was a Social Sector Librarian at the nonprofit Candid. Hyman holds a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from Pratt Institute, and has worked in a variety of library settings, including in prison and jail outreach. In addition to librarianship, Hyman also has a background in editing and proofreading. Hyman is interested in local music collections.
