Our Correspondent Kohima, Oct. 11 (EMN): Nagaland finally set the record straight with their impressive performance at the Under-17 Subroto Cup semis defeating Manipur 3-1 in New Delhi on Tuesday. Exactly four weeks ago on Tuesday, it was the Manipur team that upset Nagaland in the semi-final of the Under-14 Subroto Cup 2022. The senior team will clash with Chandigarh in the final on October 13. Representing team Nagaland is Pilgrim Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, which defeated CT Higher Secondary School Mayang, Imphal, in the semi-final encounter. A hat-trick from Nagaland’s Thulunso sealed the fate for the Manipur boys who managed to score a face-saver goal. The team is led by state football coach Mughato Aye and Akihito Zhimo as the manager. Nagaland team on Sunday edged past Meghalaya team 3-2 via a tie-breaker after the match ended 2-2 in regulation time. Pilgrim School holds BS&G investiture ceremony

Dimapur, Oct. 2 (EMN): Pilgrim Higher Secondary School conducted the Bharat Scout and Guide (BS&G) investiture ceremony in the school premises on October 1. An update from the school informed that the programme began with the oath taking by the scouts and guides. The investiture for 29 scouts was conducted by the scout master, Rajesh, while for the 21 guides was conducted by the guide captain, Bina. It mentioned that the Bharat Scout and Guides presented the flag song, prayer song and the national anthem. Later, law and promises were read out wherein each member took the oath to ‘be prepared’ for serving the country.

Nagaland: Pilgrim Higher Secondary School lift girls futsal trophy

Dimapur, Sep. 24 (EMN): The second Inter-Higher Secondary Girls’ Futsal Tournament was organised by Innovative and Development Cell (IDC), Pranabananda Women’s College on Sep. 23 and 24. The Coordinator, IDC, Meyisangla Jamir, Assistant Professor, Department of English, stated that the tournament was organised with the vision to provide a platform to the girl students in the field of sports to empower and uplift them, an update stated. A total of nine teams from different higher secondary schools of Dimapur participated in the tournament. Pilgrim Higher Secondary School was the winner of the tournament while Green Wood Higher Secondary School was the runner-up.
