their children because we want to make sure the rich people can afford to give more money to their children. they can t say that, only iran would be excited by such a message. instead they use this high-minded rhetoric about the deficit, about inflation, concern for future generations, when they don t have any actual concern for future generations. if they did, they certainly would be singing a different tune on climate change. they would be singing a different tune on education spending. they certainly would be singing a different tune on defense spending and spending on wars. instead what they do is they use this hypocritical argument, and the question that everyone should really be asking themselves isn t why republicans are hypocritical about the arguments they make but why they have been so repeatedly successful with those arguments. why? well, i think that there s two specific reasons. the first, and this piggybacks on your earlier conversation with katrina and jason, is
after parkland. but it is a very, very real issue that we need to address. how do we harden our schools. we know there have been 16 school shootings this year before today. these kids, these children and the staff have been for years now training for mass casualty events. it sounds as though some of the students who are inside that building, they didn t think they d ever have to use that training. but they re training the children for this. absolutely. another thing to take into consideration and piggybacks off the serial bombings in texas, we have to be concerned about copy cats. parkland has been in the news, somebody sees that and is a depraved individual or somebody with a propensity to commit evil and they want to act on that in the same way. that s a real concern for law enforcement is that some people might see something and decide to do the same thing. james gag an know, stay with
