Basa Air Base in Floridablanca, Pampanga is now capable of accommodating larger and heavier aircraft, such as the Philippine Air Force's cargo planes and other air assets used during emergencies and calamities. The runway rehabilitation, completed under the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA) between the Philippines and the United States, has transformed it into a P1.3 billion project with reinforced pavement and improved structure.
