What experience would you bring to the position?
Chorno: I bring two decades of legal experience, that I believe would make me an excellent district judge. I am proud that I was born and raised, attended public high school, college, and law school all in Pennsylvania. I was a social worker at Elwyn Institute for a decade before law school, then after September 11, 2001, I was hired by the Philadelphia Law Department as their Homeland Security legal expert. I spent eight years working cutting edge counterterrorism and emergency management legal issues. I was recruited by the U.S. State Department and deployed to Iraq in 2008, serving in a variety of positions until 2013. I learned to think on my feet, solve difficult problems, and deal with many cultures and institutions, all while getting shot at.
