hours, the u.s. president will today lay a wreath to remember all those who died at the hands of osama bin laden. barack obama will meet families of some of the victims of 9/11 as well as emergency teams who responded to the attacks. the remembrance ceremony comes four days after u.s. forces shot bin laden dead in pakistan. he had evaded capture for more than a decade. mr. obama is facing repeated calls to release photographs of the body to prove once and for all that bin laden really is dead but the white house says it won t make them public in the interests of national security. we discussed this internally, keep in mind that we are absolutely certain this was him. we ve done dna sampling and testing and so there is no doubt that we killed osama bin laden. it is important for us to make sure that very graphic photos of somebody who was shot in the head are not floating around as an incitement to additional violence, as a propaganda tool. you know, that s not who we are.
